Review on the new JBL Clip+

Ultra-portable Bluetooth speakers take the ease of wireless sound, making it much easier to share music with those around you.

Small speakers usually compromises on audio quality but not the new JBL Clip+. For starters, it sounds good on most pop songs and also on rock tracks from We The Kings. It sounded way fuller and has better details comparing to the first Clip. JBL also added a few design improvement to it, making it splash proof. This makes it a even better speaker you don't have to worry about when carrying about, but do keep in mind that it is not waterproof.

Size/ Form factor
It is about the size of a hockey puck, and it comes with a short cable when you want to help save some extra juice on both your music player and Clip+. The battery last about 5 hours on a single charge but I could last from 3-6 hours depending on my music volume. It is possible to charge and play simultaneously via a microUSB port.

Pairing
Power on the Clip+,  hold the Bluetooth symbol on the left and wait till the blue light starts blinking. This will put Clip+ into pairing mode and you are ready to search for it on your phone via Bluetooth.

Features
Similar to the first JBL Clip, this comes with a speakerphone as well so answering calls while enjoying your music would be a breeze. It also comes with the carabiner where you can hook the Clip+ to your pants or bag.

Sound Quality
The most important when it comes to speakers other than size, is the sound quality. I will further share on what I find listening to the Clip+.

Vocals really stand out when listening to pop songs, and on rock songs they still handle the bass and treble pretty well. Details are still acceptable and not completely mashed up unlike some other ultra portable speakers.

Conclusion:
All in all, it's a great speakerphone which is easy to carry around but the battery life definitely needs some improvement. It will be available really soon at a price of $109 SGD and comes in Black, Red, Blue, Purple and Gray.
