Apple vs Android: Who wins?

Here comes the never-ending war of smartphones.

You guessed it, Apple vs Android. Many have wondered which to go for and each have their own share of fans across the globe.

Let’s start with the advantages of an Android system. Android systems are open sourced which is good in a sense that developers are free to create applications and install them from places outside of the Play Store. People are also free to make custom ROMs where we have heard of the really popular CyanogenMod. One disadvantage of open source is that they feel less secure and thinks that Android can be easier exploited/hacked. However, what people do not know is that they have the option of downloading third party apps wisely and not from dubious sources. I do not download every app I think that I would need, not even from the Play Store without checking out the reviews. There are also popular anti virus options like Avast which is free on the Android system and it performs really well. The key here is to download wisely.

Apple to me, is always never about the hardware specs. Everything is just made to work. So what if I only have 1gb or 2gb of RAM?

The software is already optimised to best perform for the specific phone, whereas for android phones which has thousands of variations out there. Some apps might not even be optimised or compatible with a particular phone model.image

When you buy an Apple device, it’s always about the ecosystem and how everything works together. The new 3D Touch lets you do something in lesser touches and also the peek and pop function.

Lastly, get whichever works for you. To me, Apple works really well but I prefer how Android allows me to drag and drop media files instead of going through some media management apps – looking at you iTunes. All in all, I’m really excited to get my hands on the iPhone 6S plus. Once you go plus, you’ll never go back.
