Hands on the JBL Flip 3

Here's the new JBL Flip 3 hands on experience and also some amazing test with video at the end of the review.

Its refreshing to see that JBL have refreshed their design to resemble the Charge series. Its good to see the powerbank feature being added to the Flip 3 too, instead of previous model where people have to go for the Charge just for the powerbank feature since they sounded pretty different .
Sound quality wise, they seem to have hit the ceiling as their performance have been always good. The slight improvement is still worth it though, as better acoustics can be felt testing on various covers from Boyce Avenue. To also test their limits, I've played a soundtrack from the movie, Avengers Assemble called "Into The Bush".

They were able to handle the drums very well without distortion at high volumes. However, from the the way the drum snares hit, I would avoid going into heavy metal with this speaker. Leave that to the Charge 2+ where my review will be out soon! The previous JBL Flip 2 have no problems with acoustics but suffered at the hands of hard hitting drums and bass. I'm glad they resolved it on the JBL Flip 3. Battery life to me was good it actually lasted me through the night at close to max volume.

A few more I've tested on just to share:

The new JBL Flip 3 will cost $179 in many Singapore retailers and they just hit the shops a few days ago! Do try out at your nearest retailer and see if you like them as much as I do. Colors available as below:

Lastly, how does it fare against the water test I did in the shower earlier today? Here's a video I've recorded so here you guys go!
