Apple latest 9.3 beta updates hold a lot of good changes that their counterpart have for quite a while and frankly speaking, its lovely to see them finally adopt the chances they should have long ago.
I'll highlight some of the most important changes for me and I believe for most of you out there.
Firstly, now you finally can enjoy something like f.lux on PCs and also Android system, it is an app whereby you download an app which can automatically determine your sunrise and sunset time-- and it warms up your screen color giving it a more reddish-tone to be more pleasing when reading in the dark. This helps with giving you a better sleep as well. Apple calls it Night Shift as shown below in the screenshot. And apparently, f.lux is calling out on Apple on this.
Screenshot of f.lux website on what it does.
And the actual app itself:
f.lux is pretty much automatic without any settings.
You can also sort notes by date created, date modified, or alphabetically. Apple got it right with the update this time round and feedback is available for any bugs discovered along the way, none so far for me.
You can now protect your Apple Notes with a password or Touch ID. To enable it, you’ll need to head to Settings > Notes > Password Protection. From there, open a note in Notes, select the share icon, then “Password Protect Note.” In the Settings, you can also now choose to sort notes by Date Edited, Date Created, or Title.
I love this change a lot and it is a pain previously to have your notes only arranged by date.
This just in: The news you want, even more personalized.
The articles in For You are now better tailored to your particular interests. And to help you discover new Favorites, For You suggests trending topics and Editors’ Picks. When a story contains video, you can play it right from your feed. On your iPhone, you can view everything in landscape. And when you check for updates, the latest stories appear much faster — so you can catch up on the day’s events quickly and easily.
News are also more personalized as well-- having their own editors' pick as well as the type of news you read the most. A great and nice change I would say, and Apple has really stepped up their game in terms of software changes.
Last but not least, if you're holding onto the newest iPhone now with 3D Touch, settings now have a quick 3D Touch menu. It allows quick changing of wallpaper-- not that relevant to me but nice to have. The nicest thing is the Battery option because now you can change to low power mode in a blink.
That's all and I will see you guys again soon! I'm sorry for the lack of updates because of my temporary blindness and its better now. Also, my grandma is now in crucial condition once again in ICU and we are hoping for the best.
I will do a new blog post as soon as possible and possibly looking into YouTube vlogging and reviews as well!
