Easy way to organize your music folders

I've heard people usually having problems with organizing their music and rename their files one by one if they can't get the tag data online.

I've tried that before and it works great for but once you have 2TB of music it becomes a huge chore to actually rename those you can't get the song information automatically updated to your tracks. Most of the time you don't get this problem when buying original CDs--well it happens but rarely so please support the original artists!

Or if you have a huge variation of songs like me--you can do it the lazy way. This is my Chinese song folders just for an example.

Also, please let me know if you ever find a better way of sorting this out! Thanks for reading and see you guys again!

Blackfeather unleashed!

As of now, Blackfeather can be unlocked with ICE only for the first 7 days but after that, you can unlock him with either ICE or Glory. He is a worthy fighter because of the abilities that he is capable of.

Let's take a look at his skills without further ado!

Heartthrob – Blackfeather’s hero perk applies Heartthrob stacks to enemies. He deals crystal damage for each stack of this perk that is on target. Instead of Energy, he uses Focus for his abilities. It is capped at 100 and regenerates naturally while recovering an additional 10 Focus for every basic attack he lands.

Feint of Heart – With this skill, Blackfeather lunges to his target and deals an increasing attack damage (+60 crystal power). For the following 4 seconds, a rose trail is left behind the attacked target exposing his location and increasing the speed of Blackfeather and allies as they follow the enemy. Any slow attack done on Blackfeather or allies will be removed as they move along the trail of roses. Also, if the target is killed within 0.5 seconds after being attacked then this perk’s cooldown is reset.

On Point – This powerful attack pierces all enemies in a line, causing damage and decaying slow for 1 second. And with each stack of Heartthrob on the target, the duration of this slow increases by 0.3 seconds. If one enemy hero is hit by it, Blackfeather gains a barrier that scales with 15% of his bonus health, thus recovering 35 Focus. The amount of Focus recovered can be further increased with 2% of his Max Energy and 50% of his energy regeneration.

Rose Offensive – The last and strongest skill allows Blackfeather to cut through his enemies, landing basic attacks on all enemies along his path. While he is dashing, he becomes immune to any negative effects performed on him and takes extremely reduced damage.

Having seen his skill, we can immediately see how powerful a team can become when Blackfeather is utilized properly and is putting more focus into team work rather than fighting for individual glory.

I've played him several times with varying results—and this is not like Taka where I can do well alone late game after farming decently. Its hard to win in a 2v1 unlike a well-built Taka or Krul but Blackfeather is one hero that can unleash devastating results if working properly as a team.

I've not played much in ranked games much yet—maybe I will when I change to a better phone or get my new iPad. Here are some examples of my builds and game results.

Bad game for me but I've learnt a lesson and we lose as a team. They are not really used to playing with Blackfeather in their game and this is one of my first game that taught me a good lesson.

Just a quick tip, the ulti for Blackfeather can also be used as an escape skill since it grants you invulnerability against negative effects and you take greatly reduced damage. Do make use of it when ganking and you happen to be in danger.

Review: Birth of the new Q-Jays

I would like to clarify that this is not a sponsored set and I got the loan set for a week from Orangecomms--Singapore exclusive distributor for Jays and many thanks to Joshua for preparing the set for me. This is something I've always wanted to get my ears on.

This is a great change to see how much effort Jays have put into the thought behind the packaging--but if the set was mine I would have wasted no time tearing apart the packaging. I find that there are just too many things to open.

Yes, I had to go through five boxes before I could enjoy this lovely pair of earphones. Thumbs up to Jays for caring about how the packaging looks. It gives off a premium feel just from the packaging and even after you see the item itself--it is no less impressive. Build quality is solid thanks to the stainless steel material and the detachable cable allows it to have replacements easily available if you ever break the cables.

This shows how Jays actually sticks to their philosophy:
“We believe that by humanizing innovating technology with good design, we can create memorable music experiences with an emotional impact”

My first day of trying it out was an embarrassing one, I did not know that the circular case only contains the earphones with the cables being in the rectangular box you see above. I left the cables at home and only brought the earphones out--great job there to myself! The cables are screwed on and its great since there won't be any accidental dislodges.

Moving on to the sound, first impression really impressed me and it reminded me of my Etymotic ER4p. Yes, people would ask why I would spend more than $400 on a pair of single armature driver when a pair of Westone dual armature drivers cost about the same price. The ER4p was what brought out the most details from a single driver itself and looks like Jays is here to step up to the challenge. The number of drivers don't explain how they were tuned, same thing for the frequency--I hear to believe and I don't believe in numbers.

The Q-Jays sounded wide and has good lively sound--bass lacks punch but is full sounding and the micro details in the low frequency is really good. The main highlight for me on this was the treble range--this extends really high and listening to falsetto on this didn't bring about sibilance. Do note that this pair of earphones are real sensitive to minute details and a lower quality track can be recognized almost immediately. Noise will be imminent if you use low-res tracks. Try on at least tracks at 320k, best to go FLAC format and above for optimum performance.

This retails at $588 and is a great pair of dual BA drivers for its price, and you can also get the earphones with their respective iOS or Android cables for the price of $99--which comes with its own handsfree mic and volume control. You can get them at $99 each--good for people who use their mobile phones as their everyday multimedia device!

Quick updates: Galaxy S7

The hardware on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 seems like a beast. According to HDblog and their reliable sources, we might see a much missed feature coming back.

I'm talking about the microsd card slot. It is not necessary for me but a nice feature to have for those of you who use your phone for media consumption.

It's also said to come with a regular 5.2" screen version and a Edge version with a screen size of 5.7" inch. The Edge version might also come with edges all around--including the top and bottom of the screen.

Who is Zoom?

Right now, I think that Henry Allen is a close candidate following by most likely Earth-2 Barry Allen. The body frame do seem more buffed on Zoom though--which makes Henry Allen my first choice.

This is what Henry said before leaving:
"When you need me, I will be here--but right now, Central City doesn't need you to be Henry Allen's son.

It needs you to be the Flash. My kid. The superhero.
I have to go.
I need you to tell me that it's okay."

They include this portion of the flashback which was from the first episode for some reason, the rest were just flashback of Barry getting destroyed by Zoom. I would say this is more of a coincidence which led to me thinking that Zoom is actually Henry Allen. That explains his sudden disappearance, or it could be a Earth-2 Henry Allen.

Seriously, if Henry Allen is Zoom--regardless of whether he is from Earth-2 it would be a really bad ass plot twist, and would that finally cause Barry Allen to fully break down mentally? We did see him become the Future Flash in the comics as a result of his past actions--which made him wanted to go back to the past to destroy his past self and correct the future the way it should have been. Or will Barry actually be Zoom himself of the future out to kill his past self?

I am unsure how that would go, as time travel and such is something really unpredictable, so both theories are still open to me. I would also like to hear what you guys out there actually think of my theories and what could actually work better for the current plot.

iPad Pro? Not so much!

What do you guys think about this? Previously showcased but overall feels much better! I would love the app!

Just a few reasons to tell you why:
1. No specialized OS for it
2. Too huge to bring out and not really a laptop replacement
3. Great Apple Pencil but weird charging method through the iPad Pro
4. 4x4 icons? Seriously? On a 12.9" device?
5. Leaving out new features currently available like 3D Touch
6. Not so pro, lack of pro apps. A laptop still feels more feasible.
7. Lastly, cellular version only available on the 128gb version!

For those of us who still cling to laptops and desktops, the iPad Pro just doesn’t feel like a serious tool for work--unless if you're just viewing emails and doing light documents editing. Give me my keyboard shortcuts and apps that work differently. I really wish to see variety

Frustration on my android device on Vainglory

This has happened countless times--having my game hang in the middle of a game and always almost leading to a restart of the phone. This is in the middle of a moba game where every second missed is important.

Just to dig in to find out what's wrong.

Gonna run Vainglory now on my Nexus 5 and it seems like it will work properly for my Nexus 5. If it does, I'm gonna turn my Mi Note back into my phone and use my data sim card on the Nexus 5.

I will be uninstalling the game although its a great one but it seems like no matter how good a multimedia device the Mi Note is, it needs to get it basics right. Why would something with a 3gb ram hang constantly on a game like this despite having video lag in the game?

I don't know what's wrong here, I always liked Xiaomi for their OS stability when I did not starting gaming on it, other games actually work fine until I started on Vainglory. Looks like this might be goodbye soon to my Xiaomi and I can predict an iPhone entering my life once again. Apple is always well known for their apps optimization after all.

If you wanna see what I mean, here goes:

I will test this out on my Nexus 5, and if it works well on my Nexus 5 which is almost 2 years old--I don't see a reason why it should not work fine on the Mi Note.

JBL Xtreme: Review time!

The larger Xtreme comes in at 126 x 283 x 122 mm and weighs 2.1 kg, so the shoulder strap that comes with it is for more than show. As it charges from the mains, the Xtreme's 10,000-mAh battery also recharges in 3.5 hours to provide up to 15 hours of play time. It also features dual USB ports that allow it to charge two devices at once--though it halves the output from 2A to 1A when charging two devices at once.

A size comparison to my 1.5 litre Nalgene bottle.

The larger casing allows the Xtreme to pack more in the audio stakes, with four active 20 W transducers and two visible JBL Bass Radiators. There are two 63-mm woofers and two 35-mm tweeters, which give a frequency response of 70 to 20 kHz.I've have had this review unit lying around for the past two weeks and playing with it quite actively--this is a really great home/transportable system I have brought out while driving out and also moving it around at home.

Time to show the unboxing pics!

Just a warning, if you buy this--it is loud, really loud! Try to keep it down when you're home or your neighbours will come knocking!

A really big box and tons of stuff before getting to the speakers, would be nice if they toned it down a little. Well, if the set is mine I would have just torn everything off. It is just so much more effective that way.

This is not as fanciful as the Pulse 2--but certainly a powerful companion for you party people out there!

The Xtreme's hefty frame is kept from rolling and scooting around by rubber feet at its base, and just above the base, on the back end of the speaker, there are connections for the included power adapter, two USB ports (for charging mobile devices), and a 3.5mm aux input (but no audio cable is included). It is interesting as JBL covers up this compartment with a zipper. This is the only model that covers it up despite being water resistant.

This is priced at $399SGD for whoever is interested and this is a great option for me when I need a portable speakers that have no worries on being drowned out at noisy/open spaces. I would totally throw this into the back of my car and bring it out for a picnic and BBQ session--but not something I would bring out every single day faithfully.

Gamestart 2015

Gamestart this year was pretty plain for me--not too much stuff but the local games I've actually seen there pack some good ideas. There's a tower defense like game that I've tried and it looks pretty good.

You can also shoot at the targets yourself which is a nice thing to actually have. Its like a tower defense game with a Megaman style shooting game.

Blizzard and Sony are still the biggest players here as usual: and we got to see this as well.

Playstation VR, it is really fun to play but when I see people doing it from afar it really looks funny! This would be a next level thing and it will be great if a SAO game is done this way--Nervegear style. Of course, without being trapped in the game.

Another thing about Gamestart is the cosplay, there are so many but these really stood out for me--there are some nice ones which I didn't have a chance to shoot.

Definitely a favorite and all these are taken on my phone--didn't bring a camera out but the second pic turned out good because a photographer used his portable LED light stand so I took the chance. It was just to dark to take photos and camera flashes always ruin the picture if you ask me.

Also, hello there Angeline! Rei Rei asked for help to take a pic and do some hashtags on Instagram so here goes! She doesn't blog but do support her Facebook page here!

Anyway, I was busy watching the MH X Famitsu video on my phone in case others saw me--still the most excited for this since I've already pre-ordered it. Sad to say, you need a Japanese 3DS to play it. There are ways to play it without that provided your 3DS is not updated--search smea and ironhax (those are the keywords!)

I hope it still works but I will also be getting a New 3DS LL to play my Japanese games, just don't like to bring both out sometimes, those things aren't light!

Sony Z5 Premium releasing today!

Who else is excited? One thing though, first look at this picture below. I know it looks all classy and stuff--but be prepared to get a case on the day itself before unboxing your new phone or this will be bound to happen.

It is still a really good phone though, don't get me wrong. Its the first 4K display phone after all and the battery life of Sony is always promising--add that waterproof feature and great sound off the box and you have a winner!

I was really counting on a release early next year but looks like we will get it in a few hours time here in Singapore! Retail price will be at $1098, let me know if you guys are gonna get it!

My review on the Xiaomi In-Ear Pistons 2

Here goes my review for the Mi In-Ear Pistons 2 but before that - here's a short background of myself.

I really love good music and have been starting this journey since about 14 years ago when I was in secondary school - that was when my baby steps into the audiophile world bloomed with the Westone UM1 which cost about $199 back then. Looking at where I am right now, I have spent thousands on a pair of earphones and still seeking new excitement for what music can mean to me through different earphones. Just remember, expensive don't always mean that it is good.

I will talk about the Mi In-ear Pistons 2 today which I have to shamelessly borrow from my girlfriend - a gift for her during the Valentine's day and now it is with me for this review. I better get this done and over with before she starts nagging on missing her earphones, trust me she loves it. Specs will be mostly skipped since it doesn't tell you how they were tuned. Just for a quick note, its running at around 16 ohms of impedance and has a sensitivity of 97dB. - Please take note that this is the Crystal Pink Pistons 2 version so some of the specs might slightly vary.

I've tested it fully from my Mi Note and running the headphones and audio effects on MIUI to match the Mi Pistons 2.

It sounded very good and strikes the right balanced being much hissing and distortion. Do note that this is before burning in and will improve the earphones after around 150 hours of burn in. Soundstaging is good and has a slightly laid back sound - creating a U-shaped like sound signature. Due to the U-shaped sound, it gives a good sense of perceived depth which you can sense distance and directions.

This was the first song I've tested on as its something I'm real familar with. Initially, it feels that the bass is overwhelming but it is not. The different low frequencies can be heard and it does not bleed into the mids/vocals.

Since Yoga Lin did not cover the higher vocal range much, I will rely on this song next. Very stable higher vocal range by this singer and the piano keys on the end are well presented - similar to listening to an actual piano playing live. Listening to the constantly changing tonality is so pleasant - the Mi Pistons 2 managed to catch with the pace really quickly.

This rendition by Shanghai Divas give a very good sense for depth and soundstaging - and also great instrument separation. I feel that this needs you to pay more attention to the minor details. Like the hi-hats of the drums and other drum beats, it is easy to miss out if you do not know this song well. This is a good showcase of the Mi Pistons 2's power and I would recommend the song to test out on most earphones. This track also includes a saxophone solo halfway through the song.

Time for some rock music next! This still sounds great, but the laidback vocal is slightly affecting them here. The drums beat are still pretty precise but if you use a low-res version. It will sound slightly annoying. The bass guitar seems to suffer a little here - just a minor flaw if you ask me. When most of the instruments cut at one part of the song, it is still a great pair of earphones!

There's so much love for K-Pop so let's end this with a Big Bang! I chose this song because it would mash together dance and hip hop, and as I've figured out the Pistons 2 suit this type of genre really well. This is the only time I find myself pushing up the volume to almost 90% when I was all along at 70%. I really enjoy the flow here and everything goes well together. Once again, I have to emphasis that the burning really helps with the bass control here - this is where I can really feel it shaking in my ears.

Conclusion
- Comfortable fit, good isolation
- Great sound at its price and build factor
- Durable Kevlar reinforced cables
- Stays in the ears without feeling uncomfortable with the air tight feel
- Bass performance is great when it is fully burned in
- Can be used on most genres as tested above
- Slightly sibilant if playing from YouTube or on low-res tracks
- Love to see a detachable cable version in future for possible upgrades
- Would be nice if it comes with a L-shaped audio jack option

I hope everyone enjoys reading this review and to be honest, if I was blindfolded and listening to this - I would put it at the price of $70-80. This is something I would not hear from brands in the market currently at less than $50.

My Nintendo updates

Club Nintendo's successor, My Nintendo, will probably be the first ever Nintendo loyalty program to be officially supported in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Over 100 countries are supported on My Nintendo, which is a drastic increase from the 20 over countries supported previously on Club Nintendo.

This is really good news--just hoping that the ones in charge won't be Maxsoft. Their operations don't really show that they have interest in this and are just in it for the money. This is a big thing and I really hope Nintendo handles it directly, which will be for the best.

The Flash CW: Where is Gideon?

Barry Allen created Gideon but is Gideon still around? I know they might not need to know the future anymore, but why would it be put out in the series permanently as it seems for now when they might deal with time travel again?

I'm guessing Gideon is not able to handle multiple earth timelines at the same time. I would really love to see how the future looks right now for Earth-1.

Google maps update: Offline navigation

Google Maps has been far behind from Here Maps for Android for quite a while--and it seems that they will be closing the gap this time round.

They are going to allow offline navigation with the update coming later today. This is a good change I love to see and test out. There are times when I'm driving and the GPS signal just goes off and I'm left stranded. Thank God Singapore is really small compared to other countries!

Anyway, this is only for android devices at the moment so you Apple users will have to wait!

iPhone Chipgate--TSMC vs Samsung

I'm not sure if you guys already know--Apple is apparently using A9 chips from two different companies, namely TSMC and Samsung.

To find out which out your latest iPhone has--visit this link on your iPhone 6S/6S Plus to find out! It will look like this and click install afterwards on the link in the webpage provided above. You have to go to your settings and allow the app to be trusted as well.

Let me know in the comments below on your results, from what I know so far--more than 50% has the Samsung chip which is less battery efficient despite a slightly higher performance. If I had a choice, I would go for the TSMC chip anytime!

JBL Pulse 2--color your life review

If you’d like to have your music illuminated with color, JBL has a pretty neat version of that. The JBL Pulse 2 not only plays great audio, it is also water resistant.

The JBL Pulse 2’s light show is customizable too, via a built-in JBL Prism color sensor lens--simply get your chosen color by pointing and shooting it. It has 100 LEDs that can be customized using the JBL Connect app available on both iOS and Android. The app also allows you to link multiple JBL speakers with this one for enhanced audio, if the double 45mm transducers aren’t enough for you. It can be a little big for it to be easily portable, since the Pulse 2 measures 84.2 x 194.4 x 84.2mm and it weighs 775g.

One thing I really wished to see is the volume buttons being lighted up as well--that would make it that much easier adjusting the volume in the dark.

Let's talk about the sound now, given past track records of JBL they did really well against brands like Beats, Bose and Marshall. This would be something along the brands mentioned but deserves special shout out for making it water resistant. This is a daring step that the rest have not taken yet--for portable Bluetooth speakers it really means a lot.

Despite its flashy light show, the JBL Pulse 2 is no weakling when it boils down to what it needs to do. The frequency ranges from 85-20kHz, which is very good for something of this size. The wieght will not be what I would really call portable-- but it is definitely possible, packed with a 6000mAh battery and also 10 hours of playback time with the lights dancing constantly.

Here's a video from me showing how it looks like! Beautiful right? The lights by default dances in tandem to the song itself, and here's an example:

Bass layering goes pretty deep down on this--it would not be as punchy as the Bose Soundlink Mini II but this has so much more clarity. Soundstage would be its main weakness if I really had to find one. Design wise, I am hoping that this can sit better on a flat surface without me having to worry that this would just roll off by itself. Stay tuned to my blog for more because something Xtreme is coming soon!

AK T8iE review

Beyerdynamic and AK working together to create this masterpiece--the AK T8iE. From my test on my Mi Note and DX100, it is really source picky. Not just in terms of your audio player and also the quality of your audio tracks being used. Playing anything less than loseless to me in just unacceptable to me as it destroys what actually sounded decent.

Exploded view of the T8iE

The IE800 and AK T8iE have similar colored housings, the IE800's are made from a zirconium oxide ceramic material that is so hard it can essentially only be scratched by diamonds. The AK T8iE's housing doesn't feel quite as robust--but still feels very nice, and with a beautiful finish--and is described by beyerdynamic as being finished "with special alloy used in hightech medical products." Also, while the AK T8iE's design is very attractive, it's more conservatively styled than the IE800, the latter with the gorgeous contours and aerospace-thruster-looking dual vents in each earpiece. In terms of feel (in the hand) and styling, the IE800 has the advantage, in my opinion - versus just about every other universal-fit IEM, including the AK T8iE.

Just a quick note, I'm not able to type the em-dash on my PC so I would use the double en-dash to represent the em-dash. This makes it so much easier when I blog--I know the en-dash is something that was bothering me last time here's the change.

The AK T8iE also feels really good in the ear, similar to how the Bose earphones actually fit--it gives decent seal and feels like you're not having anything inside your ears. This only works better when you get the right size of eartips--medium worked fine for me.

At this price, I love that they made it with detachable cables unlike the Sennheiser IE800--which is often compared to the AK T8iE currently. The two German giants have to clash someday. One thing here though, is that the IE800 to me don't shine as much as the T8iE--but the flat sound with side soundstaging to me on the IE800 is pretty amazing. The T8iE is something different but would shine to me on genres like classical, orchestral and also EDM. Acapella and acoustics to me shine on the IE800.

Toned down Touchwiz from the S6 onwards

My friends know this, I have both a Nexus 5 and a Galaxy Note 3 - and I would safely say that my Nexus 5 speed is still up to date whereas my Note 3 feels like something from the dinosaur era. The main culpirit here is Touchwiz and all of its bloatware which no one ever uses. This is what stopped me from using the Note 3 as much as I love the S Pen.

From what I've seen so far, many still have a bad impression on the old Touchwiz - but the Touchwiz on the Galaxy S6 onwards is really so much better. It might still have some Samsung apps but at least those are the stuff that people would use once in a while. People are growing to be more health conscious so the health assistance features really packs a punch.

Some call it the Nexus wannabe OS, but it is not totally that way. They do still skin it Touchwiz style, but the experience is so much better now. I hope this post goes out to the others who didn't know and will give Samsung another chance. They make great devices and deserve second chances, having my hands on the new Galaxy Note 5 shows it - they have made great changes. I did consider before never looking back at Samsung but they resolve the one thing that annoyed me the most - a phone heavily decked out in specs but performance losing out to a value for money Nexus 5. That doesn't tally up but trust me, the Galaxy S6 onwards is a gamechanger.

The Flash CW: The Darkness and the Light

Looks like Zoom got Wells' daughter captive, saying that her dad has abadoned her while Wells went to Earth 1. And to my surprise, this is who his daughter is. Let's call the Earth 2 Wells as Cisco would - Harry.

But, it appears as if his daughter is from the comics. Though it wasn't confirmed in the episode, over the summer TVLine announced that newcomer Violett Beane would play Jesse Quick this season on The Flash. On Tuesday night, we were finally introduced to her, and yes, she appears to be Harry's daughter.

There we have it, it seems that Harry's daughter herself is a speedster as well - or will soon become one. Maybe she is just like Cisco who is not aware of her powers yet.

Yesterday's episode of The Flash introduced Violett Beane as the daughter of Harrison Wells...which is interesting because we knew Beane has been cast in the role of superhero Jesse Quick.

The speedster, who has ties to the Justice Society of America, was one of a number of legacy heroes trained by the World War II era heroes of Earth 2, including Jay Garrick. She played a significant role during Wally West's time as The Flash.

In the comics, Jesse is a speedster herself and from DC's Golden Age - that's the same age that our other newest speedster, Jay Garrick, just happens to come from. All signs point to the fact that this is her, and her story's been rewritten a little bit for The Flash to make her Harry's daughter. But if Jesse maintains her speedster abilities for the series, Zoom may want to watch out - this hostage could be very capable of fighting back.

In the comics, her father is Johnny Quick, one of the earliest speedsters and really named Jonathan Chambers.

My favorite has to be when Harry introduced his watch that can detect speedsters and other meta-humans, kinda expected Cisco to be exposed by Harry and his meta-detecting watch. I love to see how Cisco would progress as Vibe, and be a huge help to Team Flash.

The red indicator shows that the person is a meta-human and will beep when near one, Cisco don't look grateful and already knew this Earth 2 Harrison Wells is a dick but I really feel that he should be thankful for being exposed. He no longer have to worry about his powers. Embrace Vibe!

Finally, saving the best for the last. One more thing to add on about Cisco aka Vibe, is that he just scored a hot date - with none other than Kendra Saunders, the supposedly barista who moved to Central City recently.

The Flash

She is actually the person we saw at the end of Season 1 during the singularity, just let's call her Hawkgirl but we have not seen her suit up yet.
